What is sanding?
Sanding is just a post-processing process. The cloth is rubbed against the emery leather through a sanding machine, so that the surface of the pure cotton fabric has a layer of short velvet. Sanded bedding is soft, warm and comfortable to use in winter, and the price is relatively high, because if the wool is good, it must be reactively printed.
The whole process is as follows: first padding the fluffing agent, drying the tenter and then sanding it on a special sanding machine.
After general gray fabrics undergo pre-treatment (desizing, scouring, back-bleaching, mercerization, etc.), the cloth surface is very smooth, smooth and sanded It is to use a roller wrapped with sand leather to rub the cloth surface (different numbers of sand leather are wrapped according to the different fabrics, and then the cloth surface is given a certain tension on the high-speed running sand leather roller of the sanding machine, and slowly After the ground has passed and the friction of six sand rollers on the cloth surface), the cloth surface will have dense velvet. Thereby changing the structural properties of the fabric surface, forming a layer of plush feeling, just like the skin of a peach. Therefore, sanded finishing is also called imitation peach skin finishing, and sanded cloth is also called peach skin velvet cloth, or brushed velvet cloth. According to the strength requirements, sanding is divided into deep grinding, medium grinding or shallow grinding. Home textile companies generally determine the degree of sanding based on the thickness of the fabric, product style, feel and other requirements.
Types of brushed fabrics
There are many types of suede, such as ordinary suede, water suede, carbon bristle, etc. Suede includes sand suede, such as all-polyester velvet, peach-skin velvet, all-cotton Italian velvet, etc. that are common on the market. , steel-thorn brushed fabrics such as Lycra frame velvet, warp and weft knitted various brushed fabrics.
Application scope of brushed fabrics
Fabrics of any material , such as cotton, polyester-cotton, wool, silk, polyester fiber (chemical fiber) and other fabrics, any fabric organization, such as plain weave, twill, satin, jacquard and other fabrics can use this process.
Characteristics of brushed fabrics
1. Soft and thick. Through constant friction, the cloth becomes very soft, just like dough that is continuously kneaded and becomes softer and more flexible.
2. It will not pill easily. The clothes look good and I like them, but they are easy to pill. This is a problem that many clothes made of fabrics will encounter, but brushed fabrics will not. Because of the unique sanding process, the pilling caused by daily wearing and washing will not happen. Friction is completely removed during the production process. This is an innovation in the production process and a new variety.
3. It is highly imitative of the human body. We will add polyurethane emulsion to the fabric, and then go through a new round of sanding to make the surface of the fabric look like simulated artificial leather. The degree of simulation is very high.
Sanded fabrics are expensive and require many manufacturing techniques. With the development of machinery, the cost becomes lower or the price will slowly drop.
Several misunderstandings
1 , Brushed fabrics can only be wool and cotton. In fact, any fabric can be sanded.
2. The sanding must produce long plush. This is a misunderstanding of the concept. Home textile companies can determine the wool feel based on the thickness, style and feel of the fabric.
