Trading in the cotton yarn market continues to be weak, yarn inventory pressure continues to increase, orders show no signs of improvement, and domestic cotton yarn prices continue to decline. As of December 10, the yarn inventory of textile enterprises in major regions across the country was 23.5 days, an increase of 1.8 days from last week, a month-on-month increase of 8.29%, and a year-on-year increase of 52.60%. Since the beginning of November, the cotton yarn market has been in a downward channel. Although the upstream cotton market is supportive, downstream demand has been sluggish for a long time. Coupled with inventory pressure, cotton yarn lacks strong support. With the recent recurrence of domestic epidemics, the production capacity of Zhejiang textile enterprises may be further reduced. In addition, the cost of upstream raw materials is not transmitted smoothly to the downstream, and the mood of textile enterprises to replenish their stocks is weak.
In the short term, under the combined influence of repeated epidemics at home and abroad and weakening consumption, the downward pressure on the cotton spinning market continues to increase. Towards the end of the year, the demand for downstream replenishment decreases, and prices may drop further.
