This project will build a new 1.5 million tons/year PTA main device. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on July 20, 2021. It is planned to be completed by CCCC on April 30, 2023. It is a large-scale comprehensive project of Formosa Plastics Corporation.
The space at the ground pipe construction site of this project is narrow, the bottom elevation of the pipe is 4.7 meters deep, and the depth of pond slag replacement and sand cushion excavation reaches 5.4 meters. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of the deep foundation pit plan, the project department held multiple docking meetings to optimize The construction plan, combined with operating calculation rules, strives to maximize benefits under the premise of safety. The project department optimized the construction plan based on the on-site construction conditions and adopted a construction plan that added a purlin support to the Larsen steel sheet piles, which effectively avoided problems such as excessive horizontal displacement calculations on the top of the piles and large amounts of earthwork excavation and precipitation, and successfully passed the deep foundation Expert demonstration of the special plan for pit excavation.
The diameter of the ground pipe is 2.73 meters, the length of a single weld is 8.57 meters, the pipe wall thickness is 28 mm, the weight of a single pipe is 12 tons, and the total inch size of the ground pipe is more than 40,000 inches. The project department overcame the problem of large prefabricated group misalignment , Welding control is difficult, and 100% radiographic inspection is required. The downward welding construction process was used, and 3 sections and 6 pieces were hoisted in sequence on the first day, which improved work efficiency.
