Textile and apparel export growth is expected to exceed 11% in 2021
Despite being severely affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, Vietnamese textile and garment enterprises have still overcome numerous difficulties and maintained a good growth momentum in 2021. Exports are expected to reach US$39 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%. Compared with before the outbreak, this number was 0.3% higher than the export value in 2019.

Clothing exports hit record high this fiscal year
According to the latest statistics, Bangladesh’s total merchandise exports this fiscal year (starting in July 2021) were US$19.79 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24.29%. It is reported that after the epidemic gradually recovered in Bangladesh, exports were better than before. In November, exports reached US$4.04 billion (a year-on-year increase of 31.25%), which was far higher than the government expected.
