Hapag-Lloyd announces luggage delivery arrangements during the Spring Festival in 2022

The Lunar New Year is coming soon in mainland China and Hong Kong. In order to provide better service, Hapag-Lloyd has recently adjusted its luggage arrangements. The arrangement is effective immediately for all ports in mainland China and Hong Kong listed below.

The following schedule includes empty container pick-up arrangements at the port of departure by estimated time of arrival (ETA), divided into container types and date ranges.

Voyages expected to arrive from January 14, 2022 to January 23, 2022:

Voyages expected to arrive from January 24, 2022 to February 13, 2022:

1. Applicable to shipping to Northern and Southern Europe (FE2, FE3, FE4, FE5, FE6, FE7, FE8, MD1, MD2, MD3) and the West Coast of South America (AN1, AN2, TPM, JCS)/East Coast of South America (ASE, AS2 ) route.

Starting from January 14, the pick-up time for empty containers at all the above ports will be extended to 14 days before ETA.

2. 45’HC will have the same arrangement as 40’GP.

3. The free container usage period at the port of departure will also be extended.

More information:

◾The arrangements for Nanjing, Chongqing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Shenzhen, and Southern Inland Port) as well as Tianjin, Kaohsiung, and Keelung remain unchanged.

◾The arrangement of special cabinets remains unchanged.

◾The equipment handover order will be valid within the following time: 72 hours (Tianjin/Nansha/Yantian/Shekou), 48 hours (Shanghai/Ningbo). Equipment handover orders issued by local agents do not have an expiration date.

Please note that any port not included in the above schedule will maintain the current empty container pick-up policy.
