Silky, lightweight goose feather fabric that can be tailored like any other fabric. The innovative Thindown product will be unveiled at the MilanoUnica fabric show in Italy this week. It is regarded as “the first unique goose feather fabric, purely natural, environmentally friendly, sterilizing and biodegradable.”
Developed jointly by Canadian Ron Reuben and Italian entrepreneur Paolo Bodo, this product is entirely made in Italy and is described as a “global light and warm” fabric. The two inventors believe it will revolutionize the use of goose feathers.
Unlike synthetic down, Thindown compresses goose feathers in a completely natural way. It requires the use of less goose feathers than traditional down jackets because it is a homogeneous fabric with no air passing through it. Finally, it does not require spacer sutures.
