For dyeing factories, summer is a difficult time throughout the year, affecting all aspects. Take waterproofing, for example, which causes trouble every summer.

Trouble 1: Sticky roller

1. For fluorine series, its stable temperature is below 40 degrees and above zero. Therefore, when the hot summer comes and the temperature in the workshop exceeds 40 degrees, the rollers tend to stick. A good solution is to add ice to lower the temperature of the working fluid to make it stable, thereby reducing the tendency of the roller to stick.

2. As the temperature rises, the anions falling off the cloth surface will accelerate and react, causing demulsification, resulting in roller sticking. The corresponding solution is to add some stabilizer.

Trouble 2: Decreased waterproofing effect

1. Because the surface tension given to the fabric is much smaller than water and less than oil, the fabric has good waterproof and oil-proof properties. However, the high temperature in summer causes the surface tension of water to decrease. At the same time, due to the high temperature, the fluorine bonds on the surface of the waterproof-treated fabric are somewhat active. Under the combined influence of the two aspects, the waterproof performance of the fabric drop test after the setting machine is not as good as that in winter. Corresponding guidelines The test water should be placed in a cool place, and the temperature of the cloth surface should drop before testing.

2. There is more rain in summer, and accordingly the water quality will be worse. Especially for customers who use river water directly, the waterproofing effect will be reduced. Preliminarily, the reason for the decline is that the sediment in the river water has absorbed part of it, or settled, or stuck to the cloth. In short, it affects the spreading on the fabric, resulting in a decrease in waterproofing effect. The countermeasure is to strengthen filtration or add stabilizers so that the sediment no longer sticks together.
