Wear resistance is one of the important wearing properties of denim clothing, and it is also an indicator of major concern to manufacturers and consumers. Clothes with poor wear resistance are easily damaged after wearing, affecting the service life of the product.
At present, the test of wear resistance in FZ/T81006-2007 “Denim Clothing” standard mainly adopts GB/T 21196.2-2007 “Determination of Wear Resistance of Textile Martindale Fabrics Part 2: Determination of Sample Damage”. The principle is to cut a representative sample from the denim garment and place it on the Martindale abrasion tester. Under the specified load and rotation speed, the test is carried out with the planar movement of the Lissajous figure and the abrasive. Due to friction, the specimen clamp can rotate freely around a central axis perpendicular to the horizontal plane. When two or more non-adjacent yarns are completely broken, the test is terminated, and the wear resistance of the fabric is determined based on the total number of frictions worn by the sample.
In the daily testing process, FZ/T 81006-2007 “Denim Clothing” makes clear requirements for the wear resistance of denim: the nominal pressure is 9kPa, the mass of denim fabric per unit area is above 339g/m2, and the wear resistance requirement is ≥ 25,000 times ; The mass per unit area is below 339g/m2, and the wear resistance requirement is ≥ 15,000 times.
