Basic characteristics of polyester/cotton burnout fabrics and principles of burnout effect
1. Basic characteristics Polyester/cotton burnout fabric is a plain weave fabric with burnout effect. The fabric has a clear outline of the stationary pattern, the pattern is novel and unique, the texture is light and refreshing, and it can be washed and worn. Generally used as decorations and summer work clothes. Burnt-out fabric has a “convex, light, and refreshing” style, that is, the pattern is concave and convex with a standing feeling, the burnt-out part is transparent like a silk screen, and the fabric feels crisp and smooth. If burnout cloth is used as shirt fabric, it not only has the advantages of polyester/cotton fabric being smooth, stiff, cool, easy to wash, and quick-drying, but also the outer cotton fiber is in contact with the skin, which enhances the wearing comfort and the fabric is not easy to wear. Absorb less pollution (cloth surface is transparent and transparent). 2. Principle of burnout effect: First use core-spun yarn (polyester filament and cotton) or polyester-cotton short fiber blended chemical fiber fabric yarn to make warp and weft yarns to weave natural cotton cloth, and then give burnout treatment. Synthetic fibers and cellulose are used in the treatment. Fibers have different effects on acid and alkali. One type of fiber is corroded in the pattern area (or ground pattern area), while the other parts still maintain two types of fibers. The part with only one type of fiber forms a translucent mesh shape, retaining the two types of fiber. The part forms a clear-cut protruding part (convex pattern or convex ground) with a solid feel. Generally, acid is used to corrode the cotton fibers and leave the core, which is polyester.
