Flannel
(1) Basic characteristics: Flannel cloth is a natural cotton cloth made of interlaced warp yarns with a normal twist and weft yarns with a lower twist. After being brushed by a brushing machine, the surface of the flannelette fabric appears to be loose and fluffy. The surface of the flannel cloth has fluff formed from fibers. The velvet body is soft, thick, and soft. It has excellent warmth retention, moisture absorption, wear resistance and wearing comfort. (2) Types of flannel cloth (1) According to the fabric production process, it can be divided into white woven flannel cloth and dyed woven flannel cloth. White woven velvet can be divided into plain velvet, twill velvet and serge velvet. Yarn-dyed velvet can be divided into corduroy check velvet, sesame velvet, thick lining velvet and double weft velvet. ①Plain velvet: Plain velvet adopts plain weave structure. Generally, it is double-sided velvet (that is, both front and back sides are brushed). ②Twill velvet and serge velvet: Twill velvet and serge velvet are twill weave or twill change weave. Generally, it is single-sided flannel, that is, only one side of the fabric is brushed, while the other side still maintains the inherent characteristics of the original natural color cotton fabric. ③Cordon velvet and plaid velvet; cord velvet and plaid velvet are mostly twill weave, and plaid velvet also has a double weft weave, which is called large plaid velvet. It is a velvet fabric with colored yarn configured into strips or grids. Cordon velvet is single-sided velvet and is commonly used as winter underwear; plaid velvet is available in single and double-sided velvet and is often used as outerwear material in spring and autumn; large plaid velvet is double-sided velvet and is used as winter outerwear fabric.
