1. Types of warp stop plates: According to the form of the automatic stopping device, warp stop plates can be divided into mechanical warp stop plates (M-shaped) and electrical warp stop plates (E-shaped). The structure of the stop piece can be divided into open type (O-shaped) and closed type (G-shaped); according to the shape of the yarn threading eye, the warp stop piece can be divided into U-shaped yarn threading eye type (code U ) and round yarn threading eye type (code R). Due to the high speed of the loom, shuttleless looms use electrical warp stops; and because the wear of the U-shaped yarn threading eye on the spinning yarn is relatively smaller than the wear of the R-shaped yarn threading eye on the spinning yarn, there is no shuttleless loom. Shuttle looms mostly use U-shaped eye electrical warp stops. The classification codes of electrical type stop plates are shown in Table 9-1. 2. Technical requirements for warp stop pieces (1) Agreeable tolerances on the basic dimensions of various types of warp stop pieces (Table 9-2).

(3) The material used for stopping the film is No. 55, No. 60 high-quality carbon steel or steel of equivalent quality. (4) The stop piece should be straight, with flatness: 0.40mm for Class B products and 0.20mm for Class A products. (5) The symmetry of the groove of the warp stop piece with respect to the center line of the warp stop piece is 0.20mm. (6) The stop sheet should be surface electroplated and the substrate should not be exposed. The thickness of the coating from the edge of the yarn threading eye to the center of the edge of the upper groove: not less than 0.005mm for grade A products and not less than 0.015mm for grade B products. (7) The surface of the stop piece must be completely smooth. The threading eye should be smooth, without burrs or cutting edges, and the surface coating should not be defective.
