Installation and use of folded edges

1. Installation instructions for steel reed and auxiliary reed The installation instructions for steel reed and auxiliary reed are shown in Figure 3-3. On the left side of the loom, an auxiliary steel reed is used, and the spinning yarn worn on it should be a plain weave because it is allocated to the waste edge line. On the right side, there is generally no need to use an auxiliary reed. The number of waste edge wires allocated to both sides needs to be equal, usually 20 are used on each side. This value can be changed according to different emergency situations. The waste edge thread should be cheap, have certain strength and be conducive to weaving the weft yarn, so as to stabilize the weft yarn and make the fold-in edge operation have a high success rate. 2. The structure of the selvedge: The tuck-in hem device hooks the weft yarn head of one weft into the selvedge and weaves it in together with the weft yarn of the next weft during the next beat-up. In this way, the weft density in the tuck-in hem area becomes the weft of the fabric itself. 2 times denser. In order to obtain a selvedge that weaves well and does not cause problems during finishing, certain measures must be taken. Under normal circumstances, fabrics will not have fewer warp threads per cm than weft threads per cm. Checkered fabrics or fabrics with higher weft density will cause greater tension due to greater shrinkage, so during the weaving process The risk of warp breakage on the edge of the fabric is also greater, and because the structure of the edge of the fabric is different from the structure of the fabric itself, some difficulties will also occur during the finishing process of the fabric. The following solutions can be adopted: (1) Reduce the number of warp threads in the selvedge area. (2) Change the weaving method of the selvedge area. (3) Use high-quality warp yarns in the selvage area. Of course, if the quality of the warp yarns selected is poor, it is recommended that the selvedge should be made of better quality threads or double-stranded threads. Figure 3-4 shows the various solutions that take into account the structure of the fabric, that is, the relative density of the warp and weft. . When the tuck-in device is installed on the loom, it is recommended to place a few additional healds between the selvedge and the ground weave in order to change the threading between the selvedge and the ground weave. The number of healds depends on the length of the yarn folded in, and the additional healds can be removed after weaving. 3. Installation and debugging of the tuck-in device Take the tuck-in device of Tianma’s excellent loom as an example. 1. Installation position on the loom First of all, please note: when installing the tuck-in device, do not move the crochet base 1. This is because the opening between the presser foot and the presser foot base is controlled by the presser foot opening plate on the crochet base. of. After the tuck-in device is installed on the loom, adjust the position according to the following steps: (1) In the left and right directions of the loom, the distance between the edge of the presser foot closest to the warp yarn and the root warp yarn of the cloth edge is 4 to 7 mm. , its correct position is naturally adjusted during operation (Figure 3-5). (2) In the longitudinal direction of the loom, the semicircular support and the fabric edge support should be adjusted in a straight line, see Figure 3-6. (3) In the height direction of the loom, turn the tuck-in device by hand so that the presser foot base moves horizontally toward the weft yarn. Adjust the height of the device so that the weft yarn is 1 mm below the bottom plane of the presser foot base. If necessary, spacers can be inserted between the tuck-in device and the base. At the same time, attention should be paid to ensuring that there is a gap between the semicircular support 2 and the sword belt guide hook 3 on the loom (Figure 3-7). Follow the above steps to adjust the fold-in device to the correct position. These operations can be achieved through screw 4 (connecting the base 5 and the gear seat 7) and screw 6 (connecting the gear seat 1 and the breast beam of the loom) (Figure 3-7 ).
2. Synchronous adjustment of the tuck-in device and the loom (1) When the tuck-in device and the loom are not connected, manually rotate the tuck-in device until the reference mark 1 on the shaft and the position on the box Align the reference marks 2 on the mounting flange with each other (Figure 3-8). At this time, both the crochet hook and the presser foot base should move back and be close to the box body. (2) Turn the loom to the beating position (0°). (3) Use an appropriate operating transmission mechanism to connect the tuck-in device and the leisure of the loom. For example, when equipped with Tianma II loom, the left-hand side is driven by gears and synchronous belts, and the right-hand side is driven by gears. Ensure that these transmission mechanisms are flexible and have a certain amount of clearance. It is recommended to use a manual rotary loom to check the synchronization of the device, and check to ensure that there is no collision between the reed and the leisure part at the front end of the fold-in edge device. 3. Adjustment of the presser foot. Before installing the tuck-in device, the position of the presser foot should have been initially correctly positioned. When installing it on the loom, it is necessary to further check and adjust the correctness of the position. The following steps should be followed: (1) Rotate the fold-in device to move the presser foot base and presser foot closer to the box. (2) Loosen the screw 1 on the scissor swing arm and the screw 2 on the small swing arm (Figure 3-9). (3) Position the scissor swing arm and small swing arm according to dimensions a and b shown in Table 3-1 (shown in Figure 3-10), and then tighten screws 1 and 2. When the fabric shrinks, the presser foot can be moved slightly toward the reed. The loom and reed are first positioned at the beat-up position (at 0°). When moving the presser foot, be careful not to touch the reed, and loosen screws 1 and 2 when moving to ensure that the positions of the scissor swing arm and the forearm are equal, and then tighten the screws after moving in place. With this method, the presser foot and the corresponding scissors can be kept in a vertical position. After completing the above operation, the folding device needs to be rotated so that the presser foot and crochet hook are moved back close to the box to ensure that the crochet hook seat correct positioning. 4. Adjustment of the crochet hook seat and crochet hook Before installing the tuck-in device, the positions of the crochet hook seat and crochet hook should have been initially positioned. When installed on the loom,If further inspection and adjustment are required, the following steps should be performed: (1) Manually rotate the fold-in device so that the crochet hook is extended as far as possible, away from the box, and at the same time as close to the presser foot as possible. (2) Loosen screw 2 and position the crochet hook at a suitable position on the crochet hook seat. At this time, in the height direction, the end of the crochet hook should be 1mm higher than the upper plane of the presser foot, and then tighten screw 2. (3) The crochet hook seat should be positioned according to the d size shown in Figure 3-11. At the same time, the distance between the end of the crochet hook and the side of the presser foot should be 1mm. Tighten the screw 1. After the adjustment is completed, check whether the presser foot opening plate can work normally to avoid interference with the presser foot seat or incorrect opening of the presser foot itself. Generally, the opening size between the presser foot and the presser foot base should be 2~3mm. 5. Adjustment of the waste edge device The height of the waste edge device is adjusted by screw 1, and the longitudinal depth is adjusted by screw 2 (Figure 3-12). Finally, the weft yarn woven into the waste edge and the weft yarn woven into the ground weave should be in a straight line. When adjusting the longitudinal depth, be careful not to touch the reed when the auxiliary reed is at the beat-up position (loom 0°). The installation and adjustment of other models of fold-in edge devices are similar to this. The installation steps are the same, but the specific parameters are slightly different.
