Types of multi-arm devices

1. Distinguishing according to the shedding form
As shown in the figure (a) on the following page, (the shedding form of the warp yarn corresponds to the coordinate drawing method), every time the weft insertion of the loom is carried out, the warp yarn is lifted from the bottom. Back to the bottom, the warp yarns are in a folded state, and this opening is called an upper opening.
As shown in Figure (b), every time the loom inserts weft, all warp yarns are lifted from the bottom layer. When the shed is closed, the warp yarn drops to 1/3 to 1/2 of the shed, and remains open during beat-up. When it is opened for the second time, it is raised to a high position to form an opening, so it is called a half-open shed. .
As shown in Figure (c), every time the loom picks weft, all the warp threads are separated from the middle position up and down to form upper and lower layers during the shedding process, and return to the middle position when closing. When beating up, The warp yarns form a layer, and this opening is called a central closed shed.
As shown in Figure (d), when the loom opens, the warp yarns are lifted from the bottom layer to the upper layer of the shed. When it is closed, the warp yarns lifted for the next opening still remain in the upper layer of the shed. When beating up, the upper and lower layers Still remaining open, this opening is called a fully open shed.
