The latest progress of Yuneng Group’s 1.2 million tons of ethylene glycol project
On April 19, Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co., Ltd. produced 1.2 million tons/year of ethylene glycol from coal. The 400,000 tons/year ethylene glycol start-up project organized the planning and operation department, production technology department, Fangcheng Supervision Company, and ground management construction unit to conduct a technical briefing on the 084 level one ground pipe construction blueprint and change drawings of the ethylene glycol project.
During the drawing review process, relevant technical personnel connected with Fang Cheng Supervisor and the construction unit one by one on the 084 level one underground pipe construction blueprint and design change information, and carefully checked the coordinates of each pipeline , elevation, and slope, focusing on in-depth docking of the No. 2, No. 4, and No. 7 underground pipes currently under construction, and comprehensively answering the technical questions raised by the construction unit.
On the afternoon of April 20, the 14th Chemical Construction Company, the construction unit of Section A of the ethylene glycol project, organized an emergency drill for earth collapse accidents.
Project Overview
Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co., Ltd. produces 1.2 million tons/year ethylene dioxide from coal The first phase of the 400,000 tons/year ethylene glycol start-up project is a start-up project of Yuneng Group Company in the coal-based clean fuel base and high-end chemical materials base in Qingshui Industrial Park, Yushen Industrial Zone. The total planned area is 1,711 acres. The project is expected to invest 6.243 billion yuan, with an environmental protection investment of 532.6274 million yuan. The construction period will be 30 months. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in June 2022.
The project adopts production processes such as coal-to-syngas. Carbon monoxide and hydrogen are indirectly synthesized into ethylene glycol through carbonylation, coupling, and hydrogenation, and dimethyl carbonate and crude oil are co-produced. Products such as ethanol, mixed alcohols, sulfur, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, etc. The main equipment includes coal-to-syngas, purification and separation, ethylene glycol synthesis, boiler thermoelectricity, air separation units and supporting public works.
The project construction content includes coal gasification equipment, purification equipment, H2/CO separation equipment, ethylene glycol equipment, etc.
Public works and supporting auxiliary facilities include: 3×350t/h high temperature and high pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler + 2×30MW pump-back steam turbine generator unit, air separation unit, circulation Water stations, desalted water stations, storage and transportation facilities, sewage treatment stations, etc.
The coal gasification unit adopts Colin’s pulverized coal gasification technology, including 2 pulverized coal gasifiers; the ethylene glycol unit adopts Zhongke Far East’s ethylene glycol technology. </p
