In April, the public participation in the environmental impact assessment of Zhongkun Chemical’s 2×600,000 tons/year natural gas to ethylene glycol project was announced for the first time.

Construction scale and construction content: The project construction area is 1,500 acres, using natural gas as raw material, and using internationally advanced oxidative coupling French ethylene glycol production technology, construction of air separation units, natural gas conversion units, gas purification and separation units, dimethyl oxalate (DMO) units, ethylene glycol units, public works and related supporting facilities, etc., forming an annual output of 1.2 million tons of ethylene glycol. In terms of glycol production capacity, the project will be constructed in two phases, each with a scale of 600,000 tons/year.
