The 2021 (18th) “World’s Top 500 Brands” rankings, compiled exclusively by World Brand Lab, were recently announced in New York, USA.
With excellent market performance and strong business growth, last year’s runner-up Google beat Amazon to the top of the list; Amazon’s performance fell short of expectations due to the impact of the epidemic, and it fell back to second place; its net profit increased significantly in fiscal 2021 Microsoft remains in third place. The United States occupies 198 seats among the top 500 companies, ranking first among the major brands. France, Japan, China and the United Kingdom are the second camp of world brand powers. The number of Chinese brands selected (44) surpassed that of the UK (37) and continues to maintain its fourth place.
A total of 44 Chinese companies are on the list of the “Top 500 World Brands” in 2021, including 7 companies in China’s petrochemical industry. They are PetroChina ranked 131st, Sinopec ranked 139th, and CNOOC ranked 304th. Among them, Sinochem ranked 312th, Hengli ranked 379th, Shenghong ranked 399th, and Weiqiao ranked 462nd.
