In the past, jute cultivation was not favored by people because it could only weave sacks, hemp ropes and other rough products with very low added value. Sacks woven from jute fiber were widely used in agricultural production and transportation in the 1970s and 1980s due to their natural antibacterial, anti-mite, dehumidification, breathable, dustproof and other functions. But with the advent of synthetic fibers and plastics, the costly and bulky sacks became obsolete. The jute planting area in our country has shrunk, and the term “sack” is rarely mentioned.

According to reports, due to the high content of lignin and hemicellulose in jute fiber, the fiber is thick and hard, the count is low, the elasticity and elongation at break are also low, and the spinnability is poor, so much so that it is recognized by the Encyclopedia Britannica. : Cannot be applied to clothing fabrics. Jute fiber has long been used to process low value-added products such as sacks, twine and other packaging materials. For a long time, my country’s textile raw materials have been highly dependent on the international market. Cotton, wool, linen, chemical fiber raw materials, etc. have relied heavily on imports. The development of new fiber raw materials has been a top priority. Jute fiber is the second largest natural cellulose fiber after cotton fiber, with a global total of about 4 million tons. It is rich in resources and is a new ecological textile raw material with great development potential. However, jute fiber has low separation and high rigidity, and cannot spin high-count yarns. In addition, the product has poor dyeing performance and severe itching. For a long time, jute fiber resources can only be used in extensive textiles, making it difficult to be effective in the field of clothing and home textile fabrics. use.

According to reports, the project invented the “bio-chemical-physical” controllable combination refinement technology of jute fiber, developed key technologies such as composite enzyme biological degumming and drafting refinement, and broke through the application of jute fiber in the field of clothing and home textile fabrics. bottleneck of key technologies for refinement; invented key technologies for refined jute fiber textile processing, researched and developed integrated technology for jute yarn processing, focusing on the development of special additives for fiber spinning pre-treatment and its treatment process parts; innovatively developed key technologies for jute fabric processing technology to ensure weaving efficiency and product quality; invented the key technology for the dyeing and finishing of fine jute fiber fabrics, and created the key technology for collaborative bleaching of fine jute fiber fabrics; developed the cationic modified dyeing technology for jute fabrics, which significantly improved the bright dyeing of jute fabrics and color fastness, and ensure dyeing uniformity; a bioenzyme-softener combined finishing technology for jute fabrics has been developed to significantly improve the softness of jute fabrics. Based on the core invention, a series of jute fiber products have been developed, realizing the industrial application of jute fiber resources in the field of clothing and home textile fabrics.
