After antibacterial treatment, textiles can perform two functions, firstly to provide protection to the user, and secondly to prevent fiber damage. The following methods are mainly used to obtain antibacterial textiles: antibacterial fibers are made into different textiles, or antibacterial agents are used to treat corresponding fabrics. Most antimicrobial textiles currently on the market are made using the latter method. Antibacterial agents exert their antibacterial mechanism in the following ways:

(1) It can inactivate different metabolic enzymes in bacterial cells;

(2) The protease in the cell can react with it to a certain extent;

(3) Contain the robe production process and block bacterial DNA synthesis;

(4) Accelerate the redox system of phosphoric acid and interfere with the normal cell growth mechanism;

(5) Destroy the energy release mechanism in cells;

(6) Block the generation of amino acid conversion to ester and electron transfer system.

Intelligent antibacterial textiles can selectively control bacteria. They can keep the reproduction and growth of some microorganisms on the skin surface at normal levels whether under vigorous or light activity conditions. Under normal circumstances, smart antibacterial textiles do not have excellent durability, and the antibacterial properties of textiles will decrease or even disappear after washing. Currently, smart antibacterial textiles on the market are usually washed only about 30 times.
