Heat-resistant fiberglass textiles: smoke/fireproof cloth
Heat-resistant fiberglass textiles: smoke/fire-proof cloth
Smokefab-T (translucent) smoke control fabric is coated on both sides of an E-glass base fabric with an aluminum micropowder-filled polymer.
Smokefab-T is a medium weight plain weave glass cloth graded to BS EN A1 standards. The coating is a specially formulated translucent polymer that allows some visible light to pass through.
Smokefab-T material is flame retardant, halogen-free, has dimensional stability and better hydrolysis resistance than other coated smoke fabrics.
The base fabric of Smokefab-T is 1 x 1 plain weave.
Purpose: Suitable for smoke environments and limited flame environments that do not require higher temperatures, strength or bending properties, but do require a certain degree of transparency.
Firefab-1P
Firefab-1P is a medium weight glass cloth.
The coating is a specially formulated aluminum micron-filled polymer that provides an extremely heat-reflective surface as well as low breathability at high temperatures.
Firetab-1p is flame retardant, halogen-free, has dimensional stability and better hydrolysis and abrasion resistance than other polyurethane coatings.
Purpose: Designed specifically for manufacturing smoke curtains.
There are many types of fire-retardant cloth, and different fire-retardant materials are suitable for different fields. The first category is post-finished flame-retardant fabrics, such as pure cotton, polyester-cotton, etc.; post-finishing of flame-retardant fabrics mainly involves surface treatment of fabrics during the post-finishing process of textiles, so that the fabrics have flame-retardant properties and the fabrics are flame-retardant. The finishing process is simple, with low investment and quick results, and is suitable for the development of new products. The second category is inherently flame-retardant fabrics, such as aramid, acrylic cotton, etc.
What material is fire retardant cloth?
Fireproof cloth is a kind of cloth with fireproof properties. The reason why fire-retardant cloth has fire-retardant properties is determined by the material from which the fire-retardant cloth is made. So, what are the materials for making fireproof cloth?
1. Silicone, rubber and fiberglass
Silicone rubber-coated fiberglass cloth is the most common fire-resistant cloth. Its main materials are silicone, rubber and fiberglass. Glass fiber is an inorganic non-metallic material. Its greatest characteristics are high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. Silicone rubber is also a material with excellent high temperature resistance. Generally, silicone rubber-coated fiberglass cloth is made by rolling or impregnating silicone rubber.
2. Basalt
Basalt is the raw material for refining basalt fiber, and basalt fiber is the main and most important material for making basalt fiber fireproof cloth. The above two materials are the main materials for making the most common fire-proof cloth. In addition, materials such as acrylic fiber, flame retardant and silica are also common materials for making fire-proof cloth.
