1. Output of main products
According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to June 2022, the silk output of silk enterprises above designated size nationwide was 22,769 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.12%; of which, the silk production was 1,729 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.68%. The output of silk and satin was 170.6 million meters, a year-on-year decrease of 3.52%. The output of silk quilts was 8.35 million pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 38.95%.
2. Industry operation quality and efficiency
According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to June 2022, there were 566 silk enterprises above designated size across the country, with operating income of 32.652 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.42%. Among them, the operating income of silk reeling processing was 12.25 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.77%; the operating income of silk weaving processing was 16.335 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.13%; the operating income of silk printing and dyeing was 4.067 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.53%. The industry-wide profit was 1.041 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 20.64%. Among them, silk reeling processing realized a profit of 337 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 39.07%; silk weaving processing realized a profit of 519 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.25%; screen printing and dyeing processing realized a profit of 185 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.64%.
From January to June 2022, there were 190 loss-making companies in the industry, with a total loss of 306 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.21%; the loss area was 33.57%, a year-on-year increase of 5.52 percentage points. Industry liabilities totaled 37.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.44%. Enterprise inventory was 13.372 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%. Expenditure on three expenses was 1.907 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.73%. Among them, sales expenses were 454 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%; administrative expenses were 1.056 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%; financial expenses were 398 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.45%.
3. Export situation of silk products
According to China Customs statistics, from January to June 2022, the national silk commodity export value was US$839 million, a year-on-year increase of 42.92%. Among them, silk exports were US$244 million, a year-on-year increase of 89.2%, accounting for 29.07%. The export quantity was 4508.85 tons, a year-on-year increase of 53.6%. The export unit price was US$54.1/kg, a year-on-year increase of 23.18%; silk and satin exports were US$243 million, a year-on-year increase. 58.54%, accounting for 28.96%, the export unit price is 5.85 US dollars/meter, a year-on-year increase of 7.93%; the export of silk products is 352 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%, accounting for 41.97%.
